At the performing arts academy, I share a bright, cheerful classroom with two other teachers. The space is especially inviting thanks to the beautiful windows that line the back wall, filling the room with light. I have the joy of working with more than 60 amazing students with a wide range of abilities, most of them children on the autism spectrum. All of my students attend speech therapy at different times across our six-day schedule, so our room is always full of movement, energy, and learning. It’s a lively, supportive environment where flexibility and creativity make each day unique.
