One of the most important parts of our school day in kindergarten is our daily class meeting. During this time, students get a chance to share their thoughts and feelings, practice important SEL skills, and build connections with their peers. When our school abruptly transitioned to distance learning, setting up our daily virtual class meeting was one of the first things I did. (Yes, I video chat with around 20 five-year-olds every morning and it's the best part of my day!) Having headphones for each student to use at home will enable them to engage more successfully in virtual learning and community-building activities. I am so proud of my students for the resiliency they've shown throughout the unpredictable transitions of this school year. Through this project I hope to be able to provide my students with the best possible tools I can to continue supporting both their academic and social-emotional needs while learning from home. Thank you for supporting my students!
