First grade is a pivotal grade for student to gain essential reading skill and habits. The materials that I selected will be used to help increase my students fluency, comprehension, confidence, and enjoyment in reading. I also selected fun math material that I'm sure will challenge and excite my students. This year will be my first year teaching in my very own classroom. As a rookie teacher I have limited resources and material for my students. What I have asked for will be used to create the interface of my classroom focus; literacy. Behind every great teacher is a classroom full of endless possibilities. Help me create this space for my deserving students.
