These most basic classroom tools can often be an obstacle or road block for many of our students daily. A pencil with broken lead or a missing pencil impedes lesson momentum and can cause students to stress before even beginning to work. Having sharpeners and pencils in each classroom will allow students to start their day off on the right foot! Whether their day starts with a reading, writing, math, or science lesson, it will begin without the frustration of not having the most basic supply- a sharp pencil. The pencils may come and go, but the sharpeners will last long after.
