I am a special education teacher in a Title 1 school. I have 19 wonderful and kind students in my classroom, who are curious and caring. My class comprises of students with special needs as well as English as a second language learners. While resources can be limited, I want my students to understand that our surroundings and situations don't determine our outcomes in life. I want them to know that they can achieve anything that they set their minds to. As a teacher I aspire to help my students become great learners and thoughtful citizens. As Rabindranath Tagore once said, "The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence."

About my class
