The materials requested will help the students SAFELY use art supplies that offer a variety of options to pursue their creativity. Since everything is going to be very flexible this year, I really want to create an environment where students WANT to come to class and create, since this will give them control over an area of their lives and allows them to feel successful. By having the wide variety of materials in my list such as: assorted construction paper, tempera paint, and a variety of craft materials students will be able to show their unique touch when it comes to art. It's going to be a great year in our room whether we get all the materials requested or not, but it would definitely make a positive impact in increasing engagement in students by offering so many choices for completing art work!
