Our classroom library that I inherited from the previous teacher has old outdated books. Help bring life to the book shelves and encourage a love for reading with this 6th graders! Helping with the purchase of new books will increase literacy access among all students. In my project I’ve chose books that represent multi-cultural characters and current experiences for these children to read. Students will have the ability to sign them out and enjoy them at home (even if we go to remote learning for a lengthy period of time). Many of the students do not have the ability to purchase their own books and I’d love to be able to offer them something exciting to read!
