Working at a low income school, there are a large number of nerdy, socially awkward kids without a place to call home--without a safe space to meet their tribe. North Valleys' ESport club has given these students a place at school to meet fellow-minded students, but more importantly, it has given them a place to call home. Presently, we're working with outdated computer monitors and Nintendo Switch screens, which are, to put it in the vernacular, "lame." My students desperately want a cool way to display, play, and train for tournaments. This TV would really lend a "cool" element to the club that would legitimize the club in the eyes of the school.
