Most of my students come from low socio-economic backgrounds, and many are first in their families to graduate high school or go on to college. They have limited exposure to news and current events happening in the world, so this would be an amazing opportunity for them to be in the know! My students are hungry to learn and hungry for information, and this subscription will prove powerful to their learning about the world around them. Students want to know the rationale behind why we are studying a piece of literature. With a subscription to Upfront, we can point to articles that supplement the literature we study.
