Mr. Maiullo will entertain and educate all the Physics students at our school. Normally, this program is funded with a grant from the New Brunswick Education Foundation, but this year the grant proposal was denied. That’s why I am reaching out to DonorsChoose. The Physics Show has always gotten positive reviews from our students. The same show is held twice yearly at Rutgers University, but even though Rutgers is based in New Brunswick, very few city kids go to see it. So I’ve been bringing the show to the kids in their high school auditorium. They love it! What Mr. Maiullo does in his show is pack many spectacular Physics demonstrations into a one hour assembly. These demos excite and thrill the students. Past students that have attended this show have commented on how it helped them understand some of the concepts presented in their Physics class. Most students have commented that the show was fun, which they did not expect it to be. My feeling is that this excitement and fun may motivate students to keep working hard in their Physics classes, and to gain an appreciation of the beauty of Physics and science, possibly convincing some of the students to consider pursuing a career in science.
