I want my students to bring their school successes home! The buttons are meant to be badges of honor! They are durable enough to survive the bus ride home (unlike paper) and the button press will last for years, serving many hundreds of students. An "I learned my sight words" button can invite a conversation between parents and students on what they accomplished. "Classroom pet parent" will alert families to check the backpack for our special stuffed animal that goes home overnight. "I make great choices" reinforces positive behavior supports. "Future Roadrunner" will excite rising kinders at kindergarten round-up.
