These materials will help tremendously by keeping my scholars afloat. They will provide peace of mind knowing we don't have to come up with ways to share limited supplies with 50 plus students. The class would be able to focus on writing their Cornell notes in math, and not have to stop the lesson to share one eraser with 5-10 other classmates. They would be able to have an incentive and safe space to focus on work with flexible seating, a trade-off for the lack of grass and play structure we have. Most of all this would allow me to feed my students who barely eat at home, snacks for a while to get through the day. These items will keep the upward momentum of my 4th graders. It will also help them surpass their limits and diminish preconceptions of not being able to achieve success as a low income student. They are hard workers and have proven so during the first semester of testing. I have faith in them and I want them to feel the same for me. They are the reason why I strive to do better as a teacher. Thank you for time and for reading our story.
