With these books my students will expand their literature worlds and experience more literature than they usually read. Reading novels as a class and gaining a shared experience among peers is essential for students to learn critical thinking and social skills. Students will discuss differences and make connections to the world outside of the classroom. Using these novels is only a base ground but will help students to find different literature they can enjoy. In helping students to expand on their reading it is my hope that they will continue in their learning and reading comprehension. The more opportunities students have to read the more they are able to experience and the more compassionate they will become.
