The materials requested from this project will help every student I see in my middle school classroom. They will be able to start the year with the supplies they need and maintain them throughout the school year. These supplies will help students complete assignments digitally as well as offline. Whether they are in the classroom or working remotely at home, students will be equipped with the basic supplies to be successful. With the global pandemic students have enough to worry about and these supplies, simple as they may be, are helpful to have prepared and ready. Many families are struggling as it is. New students who come in throughout the year will have an opportunity to get supplies as well to ease the transition. Supplies requested are easy to disinfect and clean so they are safe for students. This will add a sense of ownership for students and responsibility since classrooms will not be allowed to have community supplies.
