Most of our materials in our class are damaged and broken to support real life learning in our Project Based Curriculum, "Connect4 Learning". Our scholars learn better with hands on real life materials and activities instead of paper and pencil activities. We have a lack of Stem Activities to support our Project Based learning Curriculum. These materials will enhance, support and engage our scholars (especially the boys) to be successful with mastering our Pre-K Common Core Standards, Higher level Thinking Skills and our Pre-K SKB's to be ready for Kindergarten. The Dinosaur, Leggos, Remote Control Robot, Magnetic tiles and Building blocks STEM activities will be implemented in our Themes: Unit 2: Our Environment Unit 3: How Structures Are Built, Unit 4: Exploring Museums, Unit 5: Growing Our Garden. (The Paint and Flower Kit ) The Dominos will be used to support students with adding and subtracting to build towers and the paint and write kit will be used in all of our themes to support our scholars in Language and literacy. Our school is a Title 1 school with parents and students needing educational financial support. This project will definitely support our Pre-K Scholars in their learning and build a strong foundation for our Pre-K Scholars to be successful life-long learners. Pre-K and Kindergarten are the Foundational grades for all Scholars to master in order to become successful in all other grade levels there after.
