Help the school library meet the needs of all students. Readers come to middle school at many literacy levels. For struggling readers, titles specially designed need to meet their needs are important. Once they have had success with these titles, they will develop the confidence to move onto other books. As their literacy level increases, it will be reflected in academic success. When they read these titles, they will be enabled to put time and effort in getting to know themselves as readers. As a result these reluctant readers will begin to enjoy reading. A school library should be a place in which readers are engaged. Readers must feel that it has titles appropriate and interesting for them. The collection should have a wide range of books. Please keep my library as diverse as the students who use it. Help my students become lifelong readers and lifelong learners.
