Providing basketballs and scrimmage jerseys to my students will allow them not only to participate in athletics with their peers but team building lessons also will teach life lessons. Never give up! Always try your best! Be kind! These lessons will stay with students their entire life. In addition to the life lessons, basketball is very helpful for our students who have various diagnoses which include hyperactivity. This activity can connect with kinetics learning that many of our students benefit from. Basketball games can be used to review material from classes as well as acting as an incentive for students who struggle with behaviors issues. There are so many reasons that these basketballs would help my classroom!
