Students are not only more engaged, but they are also taking pride in designing their own posters to showcase their projects, ideas, and creativity.\r\n\r\nIn addition to strengthening academic learning, the poster maker has provided opportunities for collaboration and leadership. I've had them out on the tables as I catalog and prepare them for shelving. Students have come through and browsed and asked about when they can check them out. So many of the titles resonate with them and their unique experiences and they're ready to get their hangs of these books.\r\n\r\nI am also extremely happy to get these diverse books for them. Our library has been lacking in that department and I'm grateful to be able to offer books that are perfect for who our students are. The graphic novel format really grabs their attention and begs them to pick up the books and read. More kids are visiting the library and actually reading than ever before!","fullyFundedDate":1746492174787,"projectUrl":"project/fill-every-shelf-at-our-school/9226010/","projectTitle":"Fill Every Shelf at Our School","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Barrett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9851908_orig.jpg?crop=712,712,x1895,y1075&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733244629560","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9851908"},{"teacherId":9851908,"projectId":8985229,"letterContent":"Two months later, I am still blown away by your generosity. I just can't thank you enough for what you've done for our school. \r\n\r\nWhen the first few groups of students walked through and saw our new reading area, they were beyond excited. They came in and looked through all the board games, oohed over the bubble fish lamp, and tried out the bean bags and the couch, then they went straight down the hall to tell their classmates and teachers. Their smiles were huge as they left the library that day. Now, every few days, another student will stop in and exclaim about how much they love the new area. During class time, they've played several of the games. Instead of wanting to be on laptops and saying they're bored, they all played together and had tons of fun! They keep asking, \"when's the next time we're coming back?!\"\r\n\r\nIt's not just students who are tickled, but also the teachers and staff. Several times teachers have come in during their break to get sit and chill for a minute or two. The reading area has been perfect for relaxing for everyone. \r\n\r\nNot only the reading area has been a blessing, but all the added storage has been marvelous. Before, all of my work space spilled into the students' area. I didn't like that and it wasn't fair to the students. Now, with the bookshelves and storage drawers, I've been able to organize and pull back out of their space. \r\n\r\nYou have changed our space and we are all eternally grateful!","fullyFundedDate":1740781624971,"projectUrl":"project/home-away-from-home/8985229/","projectTitle":"Home Away From Home","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Barrett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9851908_orig.jpg?crop=712,712,x1895,y1075&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733244629560","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9851908"},{"teacherId":9851908,"projectId":8981830,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for what you've done for us! Your donation gave me enough labels and label protectors to relabel every book in our library. The colored pencils and pencils replenished our dwindling supply so that students have what they need for worksheets and library work. \r\n\r\nI have spent the last few months pulling books from shelves and relabeling them according to genre. I have finished about three-quarters of the books we have in the library. Soon, every fiction book will be in its specified genre section. While I've been working, students are still coming through the library to check out books. So far, they are LOVING the new set up. Before it was difficult for them to find what they were looking for. Now, they know where their favorite genre is and finding a good book takes a fraction of the time. The difference in how many books are being checked out is phenomenal. Before Christmas, less than half of each class was able to find a book they wanted. Now, almost every student in each class has walked out with a new book they didn't know we had before. \r\n\r\nIn the next few weeks after I finish all the fiction and graphic novels, I'm going to move to the non-fiction section. Students don't visit it at all because they don't understand Dewey Decimal setup. With the donation, I'll have enough labels and protectors to do all of those plus any new books I get in over the next year.","fullyFundedDate":1733233887482,"projectUrl":"project/genrefying-gms-library/8981830/","projectTitle":"Genrefying GMS Library","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Barrett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9851908_orig.jpg?crop=712,712,x1895,y1075&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733244629560","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9851908"},{"teacherId":7225673,"projectId":8960642,"letterContent":"You have done it again.
