"You wouldn't want to be" is a series of historical books that are not only educational, but also entertaining. Each book breaks down a different ancient civilization, that civilization's society, and how that civilization has impacted our current civilization. Reading is essential to learning, and this set of books will allow my students to broaden their horizons and learn from something other than a standardized textbook. It is so hard to get 8th graders to read, and especially read about history. Most students feel that history is boring; however, this series of books allows students to learn about history and enjoy it while learning.
