Many of our students don't often have opportunities to have real-life, hands-on experiences with the natural world. Please help us make this experience possible for our 2nd graders. A trip to the Living Coast Discovery Center will give our students the opportunity to experience a plant and animal refuge in our local community. This trip helps extend their classroom learning of our Life Science unit in a unique and engaging way. Students will have the opportunity to learn about rescued animals and native/non-native plant and animal species. While exploring the refuge, students will learn about environmental sustainability and how to be thoughtful citizens caring for our planet Earth.
