Oklahoma City Public Schools adopted a new student assessment system this year. This IStation assessment is given digitally to students on tablets. As part of our progress monitoring, teachers administer this assessment and corresponding intervention activities to students weekly. Unfortunately, my classroom does not have the technology available to make this possible. Providing an iPad and mouse for my classroom will allow these assessments to be completed, and for my students and their families to have an additional marker as we measure each student's progress toward their academic goals. It is also essential to my students' success that I efficiently identify areas of academic need and provide necessary intervention to fill gaps. With the data from this assessment, I am able to provide clear information to families and students as we work to close gaps and meet goals so that every student can reach their dreams.
