These books will help my students learn more about themselves through reading. I want them to read about similar experiences they may have had and read books written by authors like them so they can actually see themselves in the stories. It is so important to me to grow students in a more positive direction with the way the world is today, and I want them to learn and be the change that we do desperately need in our society right now. The best way I know to make that happen for them is by providing the tools to do that, and what better tool than some amazing books!
