Exposure to books is how students learn to read, and my students definitely love to get comfortable in our classroom with a good book! Every week, my students rotate through various stations during our language arts block. Independent reading is definitely a favorite station for my students, and since they love listening to books read aloud, I know this listening center would make a great addition to our language arts stations. This listening center will serve as a station during our language arts block where students get to listen to a story as they read along in a book. One of my students got to try out another teacher's listening center and his response was, "It was so cool! You put headphones on and it tells you everything that is inside the book!" Your contribution would allow for every student in my class to have access to this amazing resource multiple times each week.
