My students fill our mathematics classroom with energy, laughter, and plenty of “aha!” moments. They enjoy turning problems into challenges, sharing creative strategies, and celebrating when a classmate finds a solution. Our classroom is a place where questions are encouraged, mistakes help us grow, and every accomplishment deserves recognition. Although our historically underfunded school serves many students from low-income households, my students arrive ready to participate, create, and succeed. With engaging visual and hands-on resources, they can make mathematics come alive while building confidence and discovering just how capable they are.
