My students don't have much and really appreciate when they are given something and it becomes "theirs". They take great care of their belongings and when they are gifted something it shows them that people do care about them and their education. Having their own supplies takes a lot of pressure off of their parents to provide them too , which is great and therefore benefits the entire family. The colored paper will allow us to work on some fun holiday activities in the upcoming months, which I'm sure my students will love !
