Help me create lifelong lovers of literature! Most young adults are reluctant readers because they have not been exposed to the "right" books! I want to create a diverse and inclusive classroom library that is inviting and reflective of each and every child that walks through my door. I want my students to find characters that they can identify with that are experiencing the same issues as them! I hope to provide options for every culture, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender identity, religious and political view and something for my mystery buffs, sports enthusiast, animal lovers, hopeless romantics, class clowns, history aficionados, fantasy/dystopian fans and information sponges alike!
