The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students are the Comfy Corner Listening Center and the Ready-To-Go Listening Center. These center will allow a stable place that will help them to build fluency in reading and confidence in class. While the traveling center will help with the relocation of places to read in unison with technological assistance. The listening center with books helps students develop fluency, expression, and comprehension skills. 1st graders have a hard time decoding words and phrases which could lead to frustration. Having books in the listening center will help build their confidence. A listening center in the classroom can help support reader focus and build student confidence, which translates to success.
