Mallets: Having mallets that aren't mismatched or broken will help students be more successful while playing Orff instruments, especially during our Mallet Madness! unit. I requested two pair for each instrument so that we can double the amount of students playing at once, which keeps them engaged. Drum Sticks: We've been using rhythm sticks instead for my bucket drum ensemble, but drum sticks will allow me to teach students more rudimentary skills. Maracas: Shakers of some kind are used in the music of many world cultures. These will replace our old and cracked ones and add some extras so that more students can experience playing them.
