Scholastic Weekly Readers are delivered to the classroom to be used each week. They are always based on grade level material with a high level of interest for 2nd graders. They build skills and engagement throughout the school year. Students always look forward to the next issue. Because they each get their own personal copy, I am able to use it for whole group instruction, small group instruction, or for group or individual rotations. After we are done, students are able to take the magazine home and share it with their families. Many of our families don't have reading materials at home. These magazines also provide practice with skills that meet key anchor standards in reading, writing, science, and other content areas. With the subscription, as a teacher, I also have access to many online resources and videos to help me teach and assess students on the content. Students of all academic levels are able to learn with Scholastic Magazines. Every student is touched!
