My students are grades 9-12 at an urban public high school in Massachusetts with a very diverse population. Most of the students in my school are from low-income households. Students are required to take four years of Physical Education and Dance fills this requirement. Very few of my students can afford their own dance attire or the cost of taking private dance lessons outside of school. My students are talented, resilient, outgoing, and full of energy. Watching my students perform on stage at our bi-annual dance concerts is truly amazing. The program consists of 300 plus students all sharing the love of dance. I would like to provide all of my students the opportunity to wear REAL dance costumes in their performances (not just leggings and a t-shirt with bare feet). This begins with the basics - JAZZ SHOES! Please help me give my students the basic necessities needed for class and performing. I truly appreciate your donation.
