Books play an integral role in pushing students to find novels that they can really connect with. They see themselves in many of the books that we have in our classroom, but there is more to a successful classroom environment than the books. Our projects help my students to have a robust classroom library that allows students to achieve their goals of reading more books and higher level books that they are actually interested in, as well as find a safe space for them to be themselves. The best way to increase their reading ability is to read more, and the best way to educate them is connect with them; to learn and grow with them. These projects will definitely help my students grow stronger in reading and as people.

About my class
