Enjoying winter in Minnesota can sometimes be difficult. Giving my three fifth grade classes the opportunity to Nordic ski, and learn the basics of outdoor winter survival will give them the skills they need to enjoy Minnesota winters! This adventure will take place at Elm Creek Park Reserve, a part of Three Rivers Parks in Minneapolis MN. Students will take part in learning winter skills. Then they will put on Nordic skis to get a feel of what it's like to fly down hills like those who participate in the Great American Ski Marathon in Hayward WI, a short three hour trip from Minneapolis.
