I would love to have the stability ball and the seating discs for my classroom flexible seating. I feel that students become empowered when given choice in the classroom. I try to differentiate to allow choice as much as possible. Instead of creating seating charts, I wanted students to learn, collaborate, and grow alongside their peers. I also wanted students to be able to choose to move more throughout the day. Students do not have to choose one spot for one subject area. They may work and move around the room to spots that work best for them. I would love the paint, paint sets, and dotters because I feel that mixing art in with all subjects is essential for students learning. Art can be a fantastic vehicle for learning, communicating feelings and exploring outside of the box thinking. I’m a great believer in the positive power of art on our mental well being.
