All students learn differently and cannot be confined to a desk or chair all day. Flexible seating gives student an opportunity to learn in a way that is most comfortable for them. Students are able to sit in various parts of the classroom during independent work time. This may be students sitting under their desk or mine. Some students enjoy sitting in the window or laying on the floor. These supplies will allow for them to continue these practices but be more comfortable. Students do their best learning when they take ownership of where and how they work. These items will give them a variety of options to choose from. The pillows will be placed in our huge windows to create a small reading nook. The beanbag will be placed in the library as an alternative seat in our library. The wobble stools can be both used at student desk or at my table, it gives student a different seating option but still allows for movement. These items will help my students continue to do their best work!
