Students need to be comfortable and feel like they can relax while enjoying their favorite librarian as she reads them a book. My library is in need of a new carpet. I want to create a space that will entice them to grab a book, sit back, relax, and read. Creating a more inviting, educational, and comfortable space to interact with books and each other will allow them to focus on learning to read and collaborating with peers. For me, it's important to have my library student centered and inclusive so all students can learn to be life long learners while focusing on reading.
