My students are currently using headphones and computer keyboards that are broken and missing keys. Having functional equipment in the computer lab is essential for many of the programs the grade level teachers and I facilitate throughout the year. The headphones and keyboards will be shared with the whole school, as many grade level teachers use the computer lab for the Lexia reading program and for MCAS prep. Having these materials would allow my students to experience and engage with music technology programs such as Garage Band, Scratch, and Chrome Music Lab. Music technology is a great way to engage students in music learning that is hands on and experiential.
