My students will return to the classroom this fall, having been in thier homes for more than seven months. My special needs students and my students without disabilities, have been learning from home. This has been stressful and at times extremely overwhelming for them, during this pandemic. I hope to make their transition back into the classroom both exciting and engaging for everyone. I will use the seating options requested to bring relief and focus into the classroom. The exersize desk and desks with devices for leg movement will get students blood flowing and let students blow off a little energy as they focus on the tasks they will learn this year. Whether completing math problems, or working on reports in social studies, or even engaging science experiments, my students will have options to move in the classroom, at a safe and distant space. The air purifier, cafe tables, and kneeling chairs with adjustable height desks will make students feel safe and comfortable as they re enter their classroom and begin their learning journey in fifth grade.
