These books will help interest reluctant readers. They will be used to trick and entice them into reading about their world and into becoming lifelong readers and learners. They will also be sent home to those students who are without books, enabling them to continue their learning and exploration after school. Books are the gateway to a whole world of knowledge, and the engine of curiosity. The more books available to children, the greater the chance that one will catch their eye and draw them in. After they experience that one "great book," they are hooked for life. These books will be used to broaden knowledge, give ideas for writing and build a joy and love of reading.
