We are asking for playground balls. Our school is located in an area where students do not have direct access to the great outdoors, this will give my students a wonderful opportunity to explore while learning how to play. Many of my students have not held a book until they entered my classroom. I want to give them a LOVE of literacy. I want them to explore how books can take them anywhere just by using their imagination. These emergent readers will be used daily and provide the necessary foundation for student success. We are also hoping for English-Spanish matching cards. This is a wonderful center activity.
