Our Alternative Program students find art to be therapeutic. Students have decided they would like to create "Panels With a Purpose" to help combine art with spreading kindness throughout the building. Students will design and paint small art panels, and then embellish them with inspirational sayings. These art panels will be hung in random areas of the hallways and classrooms, to serve as reminders that someone cares. Students will have 2 stations where they can create their panels during our 1st period learning centers, or when they are feeling overwhelmed. This project will help students to learn positive coping mechanisms to deal with frustrations and strong emotions.
