My students sit on the floor in our classroom library every day. The carpet in my classroom is very uncomfortable and rough to sit on. I read to my students and teach lessons while my students sit on the carpet to bring us together and make our learning more interactive instead of having them sit in their chairs at their desks. My students also work on the carpet during center times like buddy reading and playing math games. A soft, comfy carpet will make sitting in our classroom library more comfortable and enjoying. It will also enhance my students enjoyment of our lessons and their center time working with others. It will also give our classroom more of a homey and comfortable feeling. Since my students spend a lot of their time in our classroom I try to make it a safe and comfortable place for them to learn in.
