Loving to read is an amazing gift! Early development of a love for books and reading can help kids throughout their lifetime. I would like to give each of our students a small seed (book) to encourage their love of reading to grow. With these books, our students will be given a gift that can last a lifetime. The books I've chosen are familiar to our students and stories they love. It's well known that the best way to become a better reader is to read as much as possible. Even if the student isn't reading yet, they can look at the book and "read" it by him/herself. Developmentally, this is an important part of learning to read. Your generosity will help give our students easy access to the joy of reading and encourage a positive habit to last a lifetime.
