My school is a Title I school which services students who are economically disadvantaged. Not all my students have access to technology in school to complete projects that require research. It has also been researched that our students do not know to navigate an actual laptop, search web pages, and type correctly outside of an iPad or iPhone. I would like to provide students with in-school access to an actual laptop to complete projects and receive exposure to typing. This will assist them in the future with higher-level job entries and beyond. These various laptops will also assist them with feeling a sense of ownership. And know that at least one person cares about their future.
