It is often difficult to communicate to students just entering art class how important art really is to the world. It is not just the ability to be able to draw or the perception that one cannot draw at all, so why am I here? Art is the world that surrounds us and being able to put that into context in a publication focused on art and language that speaks to students at an age appropriate level is something that Scholastic has mastered. This magazine is a wonderful printed and online resource that gives all students access to ways in which art appears in the world, what other students their age are also doing, and also an array of ideas and approaches to which they can implement into their own processes.
