By replacing large, plastic cumbersome chairs with low soft stools in my art room, it will definitely enhance a more socially distanced and safer personal space. My room is cramped and forced into a space where the chairs and the chair legs are frequently entangled with one another as students attempt to get in and out of their seats. It is also safety issue because the students and I cannot move about the classroom freely, especially in the case of an emergency. The old chairs prevent walking through the center aisles and forces everyone around the perimeter of the room. The low stools will also not force kids to remain in a shoulder-to-shoulder or back-to back situation, something we are trying to avoid in a socially distanced preferred environment. Every day my students get their fingers pinched from being back-to back in the large plastic chairs. Having stools with no backs would eliminate this problem and make it easier for all students to get in and out of their seats and make moving about the classroom a safer environment. They would also be so much easier to clean than the old chairs with large backs. Although I need at least 36 stools in my room, I would be happy to get any amount at this time. Thank you!
