This equipment update is long past due, and unfortunately out of reach due to the number of students the football budget covers. These new shoulder pads would be a great start to the revamp of our equipment room. Our old shoulder pads get the job done but you can see the rust stains through our practice jerseys, so how much longer they will last is anyone's guess. Our player numbers in high school have dropped over the last three years and I can't help but wonder if equipment quality has something to do with it. I would hate for a student to not take the chance to play sports because he or she does not feel safe in the equipment provided.
