I plan to reach out to a very talented and experienced yoga instructor to teach 120 middle school students yoga for 6 full weeks. Each child will receive 12 hours of yoga instruction each trimester. The goal would be to introduce them to the fundamentals of yoga; learning to breath and challenging their bodies to reach new positions healthy for them. The outcome, or vision is that they feel greater strength, better flexibility, increased energy and maybe most importantly feel less stress in their hectic lives. The mats will then be used for lessons for the younger grades K-6 the following trimester.
