Much of our class time is spent in small group learning centers. While some students are at the teacher led center, the remainder of the students participate in other activities to build on curriculum/lesson topics independently or in small groups. These high interest materials can easily be paired with curriculum concepts such as counting, sorting, addition, and shapes. During our math center block, students will be able to choose a hands-on center following their classwork. This will motivate the students to work hard on their classwork so they are able to participate in the hands-on math centers and continue their learning. Students learn best when motivated and engaged and I believe these materials will help to do just that!
