These resources are a great fit for our school, where we serve 305 early elementary students, from preschool through first grade. Social-emotional learning (SEL) is a cornerstone of our curriculum, and your donation directly supports our efforts to help our young learners understand and manage their emotions. The books, which are developmentally appropriate for our students, are guiding them in identifying and naming their feelings while learning essential strategies for emotional regulation.\r\nWe are already seeing the positive impact these resources are having. Our students are engaging with their feelings in a new way. The library is available for check-out by our entire teaching staff, ensuring that all educators can access these valuable tools to support the emotional development of our students.\r\nWe were deeply moved by the fact that your donation reflects a true understanding and appreciation of the importance of SEL, especially in the early years of education. The skills our students are learning now as 3-8 year olds will benefit them throughout their lives. Research shows that strong social and emotional skills are linked to improved academic performance, healthier relationships, and better outcomes in both adulthood and careers. Your contribution is helping our students build a strong foundation for the future.\r\nIt also meant so much that you share a connection to Brainerd, as it makes the donation feel even more personal and meaningful. We are so touched by your support, and we are confident that this library will continue to shape the lives of our students, helping them grow into confident, resilient individuals.\r\nThank you again for your generosity. We are grateful to you for investing in the future of our Little Dragons, we hope you know that you have contributed to an effort that will have a lasting impact on their lives.","fullyFundedDate":1735003773834,"projectUrl":"project/a-little-spot-social-emotional-learnin/8989297/","projectTitle":"\"A Little Spot\" Social Emotional Learning Library for PreK-Grade 1","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wislocky","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9862905_orig.jpg?crop=1586,1586,x0,y79&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733613502909","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/misswis"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_80798","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":343,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":54,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":28,"percentWhite":31,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":21,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 1","studentTeacherRatio":"10.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":77.0,"schoolId":80798,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about John Brainerd Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"John Brainerd Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/mount-holly-township-school-district/john-brainerd-elementary-school/80798"}
