According to the Nevada Library standards every student needs to "read widely and deeply" and these books will enable my students to do so. Some of the items on this list are replacements for books that were lost due to the pandemic and many were parts of a series that are currently incomplete. Every library collection is made stronger with the introduction of new books. Each new book helps to diversify the collection and to reach out to a different reader. These books will help to make more students find themselves in the library and to entice some reluctant readers into a new book. There is something about a new book that makes it so appealing.
